Running Under the Sun

The coming-of-age story of a young immigrant crossing the southern border in pursuit of a better life in America with her mother. However, the journey across the border is not an easy one and the young immigrant faces unpredictable obstacles. In a moment of desperation, her mother takes the ultimate act of love and courage, sacrificing her own safety to protect her daughter. In the aftermath, the mother stays behind to face the consequences of her actions, liberating her daughter to pursue the American Dream.
